omega head lights....

can the head lights be switched from rhd to lhd???
as there are no lines or markings on the lenses...
this is on a 97' S............
 :-? what makes them lhd or rhd??

NO! They cannot be converted from LHD to RHD or opposite.

A LHD headligh is always a LHD headlight, and a RHD headlight is always a RHD headlight. End of.

Some had levels for *temporary* continental use that provides a low, neutral setting.

He means a 'flat beam'.  ::)

There are some official definitions here.....

UK cars are fitted with "left-hand dipping" headlamps for use in "left-hand" traffic.

Continental cars are fitted with "right-hand dipping" headlamps for "right-hand" traffic.

I think there is some confusion here, so I will add to it.

RHD headlights used in the UK will have a setting for temporarily adjusting the beam to an "acceptable" flat beam for use abroad, but it does not make it a LHD headlight, its purely enough to keep the feds off your back whilst on the road.

And Vice versa for LHD.

does the same apply for projector lights?, only when i took my car for the MOT he said my o/side light was flat with no "kick up" on the pattern, i couldnt remember seeing a setting thing on them to make them flat so any ideas?,,,,,sorry i didnt mean to hijack this thread.

Sounds like the levers may be in the wrong position on your "flat" headlight

Sounds like the levers may be in the wrong position on your "flat" headlight

I think that the confusion arises because when the levers are correct, one is uo & the other down. People assume that they should both be up or down.  :y
