Coolant low level is a common fault due to the float in the header stank sticking. I prolonged th elife of mine for a while by giving it a soak in a mild caustic. The real answer though a new header tank, about £30 over in Blighty.
I've never had a washer bottle problem, but it's only a float in there.

Thanks for that easy really when you think about it, iwas thinking on terms of some sort of electrical problem, i feel at ease now header tanks are quite cheap on flea-bay germany, i will get a new one, i intend to flush the coolant system anyway.

I think you'll have more problems actually getting to the level switch in the bottle.  :-?
The level switch is similar to these, so there can't be too much to go wrong. I've no idea if they're normally open or closed, but try shorting out the plug & see what happen.

Washer bottle, check for sticky float as Andy B says, particulalry if coolant is manky (or has been)...   ...if that not cure it, new bottle.

Washer float, that normally a replacement needed. Easier with bumper off on prefacelifts....   ...in side of bottle, passenger side (UK spec, no idea if it changes for LHD)
