posibble barrel fault
« on: 10 June 2010, 09:27:51 »

My ignition key is sticking and when it does this I get the irritating trafficmaster expired voice coming on, I guess I need to recondition the barrel but am curious what is making the trafficmaster trigger? is this another fault?

May seem a silly comment to you, but as you are fighting with your key (try some lubricant perhaps?) are you sure you are not hitting the trafficmaster button?

I have lost track how many times I have done that, especially on my old CDX for some reason!! ::) ::) :D :D ;)

Be carefull what you put in an ignition barrel to lubricate it, as most oils will simply stick all the gunk together making thisgs much worse.

Most locksmiths / hardware stores will sell Graphite Powder and this is ideal for squirting in a lock.
