Radio and display u/s

Hi everyone,can anyone help me sort out a problem that started this week.
My radio stopped working mid/week and the the panel was showing SAFE.
The display would not allow me to reset the code,has anybody had this problem and sorted it.
Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions.

Forgot to mention that the earlier fault that I had with the remote central locking has not been fixed,so could it be that the ecu is closing down unnesessary systems.

million dollar question, what radio? there were countless different kind fitted over the years.

Pressing and holding AS button should allow you to enter the code

Hi Tunnie,the unit is a Phillips CCR600,and pressing and holding the as button doe,s not do anything.

First 2 steps are critical - you can't hold AS and turn ign on.

Ign On
Radio Off
Press and hold AS
Radio On
Release AS when beep heard
Enter code
Press and hold AS


If incorrect codes have been attempted, you may be in a wait state, requiring ign to be on for between 10m and 12hrs before attempting.
