Diesel alternator replacement

HI
Anyone got any advice on how one replaces an alternator on a 1997 2.5td omega?
Mine is showing orange engine charge light on the dash so i think its time for a new one.

not the easiest job on a td, patience is a virtue!!its very very tight in there, think if i remember correctly pas pump has to come out to get it outand poss the radiator!!, or you can bend the battery tray up out of the way and then batter it back into place!!!

oh crap
looks fairly easy access wise but I know the issues with removing alternators once they have been disconnected from previous cars.
I'll let you know how i get on!

TIS reckons unbolt and lift out the top.  I reckon the TIS author was smoking something strange that day!

If you don't have aircon, it will normally just fit coming out forwards - but put some card against rad to protect it.  If you have a/c, I'd bend batt tray - protect it afteerwards to prevent rusting, as you will crack the paint.

Think i have been smoking something!!  :D
The fault was electronic fault not alternator and if i had read the handbook I would of realised!
So have done paperclip test and got codes:
43: Invalid boost pressure
81: Sensor injection start short or open circuit
Anyone give any advice on what cuases these bad boys?

Forgot to say, how do i reset/clear the codes so i can be sure a fault still exists?
