Ok, so what exactly does "Telemetics" give you then?

Basically a phone...

SIM in back of the H/U controllable through GID/CID, hands free calling...
Nearly. Sim goes in the Telematics unit that fills your already puny glovebox :y

Unless you take TheBoys lead and re-engineer the location...  :y

Wouldn't say it's crappy, it's a full 8W Class II device that stands a chance of negotiating a signal where a handheld class 4 1/4W wouldn't even be able to start the negotiate. Very handy when your off the beaten track (Read as away from the coverage near population figures the networks claim are true indications of coverage) on Vodafone / O2

Indeed - I get a good, strong vodafone signal outside my house with the telematics.  I have to walk about a mile to get a good strong signal on Tunnie's beloved gayPhone on Vodafone ;D ;D

Not really, pf hu cd changer is in the boot, which is not convenient either IMO. Changing a cd far more often than a sim card personally.
