Driver-side heater not working...
« on: 01 October 2010, 18:18:04 »

Hi,

The aircon is working fine, but the temperature control only has an effect on the passenger side. I only get cold air out the right.

Are there two separate heaters in the system?...and is there a fuse that controls the right one only? (have checked fuses but can't see a problem).

If it's not a fuse, I presume it's an expensive problem?

It would help if you could tell us which model/year/engine car you have.

Its just that there are at least 3 different types of heater/climate control units.

Do you mean the main cabin heater, or the heted seat?

Thanks

The control arm has probably popped off. Click on the red link in my post above

Help!

Found the motor, and lo and behold, the arm was loose behind the motor. Couldn't for the life of me see how it would reconnect, and in fiddling around with it, I managed of course to pull it off wherever it connects above the motor.

Is this now garage time??... or, if I unscrew the motor, will it be possible for me to reattach it at both ends? (Nothing appears to be damaged or worn either top or bottom).
