hi im wondering if one of you guys ould help? ive just bought a omega v6 cdx on a w plate facelift model like and everything works apart from i cant seem 2 get cds 2 work on the multiplayer cd stack [smiley=cry.gif]. im sure ive got the cd in the right way but it comes up saying magazine on the control panel! could somebody please advise me on anything? many thanks [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Suspect its a knackered CD Changer unit :(

Pretty certain No Magazine means it can't detect the mag.

The usual fault with these is it sees the magazine, but not the disks, caused by failed lasersm due to CDRs

thanks 4 that mate. how much and where could i get a new multichanger? would it be hard to fit?

You can't. They are not available.

They come up occasionally on egay - just need to swap control board over (due to coding).  CDC3 is the search term.

Is this one of those CD multichangers that uses a 50pence microswitch to detect the presence of the magazine? Is it worth checking the microswitch before writing off the whole unit?

The microswitch that you cannot get? If its that, more likely its the cage has distorted (the Philips designer was smoking something bad that day), which is fairly common...

am gutted mate that means i cant listen 2 my country n western on the move lol :( there would be no way of checking would there?
