Audio 2.6 CDX
« on: 10 December 2010, 16:06:29 »

Hi, I'm having a problem with the tuner on my 'new' '03 2.6 CDX.

It's working, but every time I try to manually tune or scan to a station, RDS kicks back, unwanted and it just scrolls through memory continuously without settling on a station.  :-?

Is there a 'master re-set' feature that anyone knows about?

Many thanks in advance for any brainwaves.

Which Radio? CCR2006?

There is an RDS button, that turns RDS off. If you store a station with RDS off, that station (when accessed from memory button) will keep RDS off.

The tuner regularly scans whats transmitting, so when you use the tune buttons, it only goes to those prefetched stations.  Press and hold for a sec to do a traditional tune

Alternatively.... due to the fact that it keeps searching without finding an RDS signal I suspect that either you are in a poor signal area or the right angle plug on the back of the radio has become dislodged.

Classic aerial problems, usually the aerial connector centre core at the back of the radio, or the joint between the antenna booster and the glass screen

Thanks everyone, my Omega is a (very) recent purchase and it's a case of 'comes with problem'. No matter where we are, it persists, so it looks like I'll need to find a local outfit to investigate the suggestions re the connections.
Cheers  :(
