coil pack v6

hi all long time last on forum just got myself a 2.5 v6 on a t reg but its misfiring on number 3 and 6 he told it needs a spark generator i gather its a coil pack i need are they easy to change any help would be great or diagram  ;D

the coil pack is at rear of engine on righthand side as you look from front of car and they are a right pain to change  :(

it live right at the back of your passenger side of the engine. Torx bolts but a 1/4" drive 8mm hex socket fits. Remove the plastic scuttle to give  you room.
You'll need a box of plasters afterwards.  :o

Not a difficult job, just fiddly cos you only see the coil pack as you remove the last bolt.  :y

yup as andy says just remove scuttle  you really dont need to take off off plenum, but is really fiddly and plasters are a must  ;D

oh and make sure you mark up the ht leads from where they come from, as most of the job is done by feel not sight  :y

yes thanks for the advice but ive got aa breakdown repair cover and covers me up to £500 and i only have to pay £25 excess and i can get it done cant wait to get it on the road yippee merry xmas ::)

Thats not from doing this job on the car ..... now confess all ya sins as we know its when you have been house breaking and been caught by ther householders and they have tried to cut ya fingers off for stealing their stuff  ::) :D ;) ;D
