Key-fob repair kit

Not sure if this is allowed, as it's not my auction but.....

Buttons on my keyfob had really had it, found this guy on fleabay

Delivered next day, fitted myself & it works better than the originals ever did.
Just though I'd share as it was cheap, very good service & excellent items.

BTW, If anyone needs this, can't solder & is anywhere near me, I'm willing to do the job for them, no charge

 Yep, got some of those, and some soldered in buttons thanks to Kevin and TB. Works well. :y

I'd sooner send mine to Martin Imber .. does a fantastic job, cheaper than the kit and the work is done for you .. :)

If the car's still going when these die, I might consider, but with only one key, the alarm will really p*ss the neighbours off for a couple of days  :-[, and it did only take 15 mins

Only down side is the cover has no lens for the LED, but I never look at it anyway

where your buttons destroyed?? i was thinking in just changeing the case, without the micro switches.

They were, is my own fault. Rubber was very worn, & I did nothing apart from press harder & wiggle about so the buttons soon followed  :-[

Would suggest taking the PCB out for inspection, & if the buttons are still in good condition (the rubber tops flatten off with wear), and they still click solidly then you'll probably be ok with just the rubber

ok.. will do. do you know why my key unlocks the car only when i am 3-4 meters away?? it has a brand new battery

anyone do repairs for a single button key ?? i have a seperate key fob and key and a key with the button built in and both are knackered, vaux want a rather large amount for a new key and programming, plus i need a card too for the car :'( in fact theres not much left working on this car now but i still love it ;D
