Climate Control Issue
« on: 04 February 2011, 23:44:47 »

The climate control in my Elite works fine from cold, however when I turn off the engine and re-start, the only way to get any heat is to set the control to Hi. If I reduce it to 27 degrees it blows cold air.

As I say it will work perfectly until I switch off. Have travelled 200 miles at a time, and from cold start it operates perfectly!

Any ideas?

Mine does something similar with the recirculation. I can drive for 2 hours, stop for a coffee and a minute after rejoining the motorway all the windows steam up. >:(

The recirculation problem is caused by a servo motor losing its position. The quick fix for recirculation is to switch the recirc on and off again.

Have you tried resetting the climate system? (press and hold the auto and off buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds). This drives all the servos through their range so they know where they are again.

I'd just check the vac system is in tack, then I'd like to see live data on the thing...
