2 button remote 1999 omega with factory alarm help
« on: 12 September 2011, 21:03:36 »

Hi all,

searched for this but not found anything,

went to open the tractor with mrs spare key, not lighting up on the remote, opened popped in new battery still dead, i have in the past resoldered 2 new micro switches and repaired the snapped battery leg back on.

so looks like a new remote. but which one???? where do i find the part number? mine has m-am 433.92 mhz

trying to get one off fleabay so i can swap my blade to the new remote and "My Naff Code Reader" it back in synch etc.

any ideas folks,

thanks rob

Need to get one that matches the same type - betting yours is Megamos from spec/age.

Be aware using "My Naff Code Reader" to program the Alarm ECU, I've seen destroyed Alarm ECUs with that.

Hi
Regarding the non working fob, have you checked the battery holder to circuit board connection, I've had this break on two fobs and it's not always easy to see the break, in both cases a repair was made using an axial lead of a resistor or diode, works fine still.
hope this helps

got another fob from fleabay supposed to be a megamos m-am 433.92 so he says,

i can't find any writing on it except 08554201 & 01425677

via "My Naff Code Reader" i can erase all keys and transponders no probs,
i can reinstall the keys and transponders

i can erase all remotes no problems, but "My Naff Code Reader" not picking up new remote when in learning mode, treid everything, my original remote can be erased and then once in learning mode in "My Naff Code Reader" it say remote activated successfully or a like the minute i press the lock button on the original.

is this the wrong remote fob or am i doing something wrong

I used tinned brass wire - haven't had one escape yet.
