hi folks...

I found the 30 second restriction on the search facility a bit of a bind.

30 seconds between searches is rough, especially if you make a typo / need to narrow search down etc..

To be fair, the best way I have found of searching is to use google to search the site...so for people..go to http://www.google.co.uk, type in "site:www.omegaowners.com" followed by a space and your search item and you can search to your hearts content without the 30 second limit and it puts the load on google's servers and not OOF's..just a tip.

The 30s restriction is there to protect the forum.  The easiest way to DoS a dynamic website is to ....  :-X

agreed, protect the forum, but also cause multiple posts on the same subject as users get frustrated with waiting 30seconds between searches, which only increases the db size and therefore costs you more money...so  money or  :-X  ;)
