amissions light

hi guys , i got hold of a 2002,mig and all looks well with the car, but notist that the orange light for the amissions was on went off at first but now stays on even when driving, it says that if it stays on contact main dealer and  am i causing any damage to the car driving it like that,

Do the Pedal Trick and find out the code, then someone can give you a good idea how serious it is: http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=90581.msg1155463#msg1155463

FWIW the DBW cars (2.6 & 3.2) are notorious for throwing a CAT Efficiency Code which can be safely ignored..

how do you bypass it i remember reading on here ages ago about moving the post precat sensor to behind the main cat

its bbeen on since i bought my 3.2

Yup that's exactly it - weld a new O2 sensor boss on after the main CAT and move the sensor there (bung up the boss before the CAT, obviously).

Like already said above and in the PM try the Pedal Trick to see what Fault/Faults are stored in the ECU..

Or Hotel 21 (Broocie) lives up your way.. A Great Guy (coughing now  ;D) has a Tech 2 which is the Proper Computer for Vauxhall's... he will not charge anything near Vauxhall Prices either :y
