CDXs have xenon lights as standard though :-\ thought the two went hand in hand on the estates?

My CDX does not have auto level H/L's.

It doesn't have high intensity discharge (hid) headlights from the factory then!

Prefacelift CDX did not have HIDs, only facelift CDX. Only HID cars have auto headlight levelling

Seen a 2.5 CDX estate S reg with HIDs
Retrofit ;)

My Pfl cdx ... In fact all omega non hid headlights, where/are hopeless, with the possible exception oh nighbraker bulbs fitted.

Hids just make omega headlights useable.... by modern standards

All Omega headlights are rubbish. In fact, I've not driven any Vauxhall that I though had good lights.  As chrisgixer says, HIDs make it acceptable.

Not that you'd want to ::), but try driving a Vectra C without HID's. The beam is so crap you can't see more than 10 ft in front without main beam. >:(
