Another thanks for Pink Vader
« on: 15 October 2011, 18:23:53 »

Had an awkward to find oil leak on the Silver Bullet for around the last 18 months or so...

Having previously done camcover gaskets and gearbox sump, then last week the front crank seal and the sump pan, it was thought to be the upper sump seal.

Looking like a sod of a job, I got Darth Loo-knee down yesterday, and we got that resealed as well. As it happens, its not too bad a job, having now seen it done.

So, once again, thanks to DLK, top notch workmanship, diligent, effective, and a lot of fun.

Not used it as much as I'd hoped this week, but absolutely no sign of oil on that nice clean sump pan.

// Wartime voice-over
By jove, Mr Loo-knee, I think we may have solved this one, old boy

:y

TBE looks oil tight again as well, so likely was the seal on oil pressure switch, and an standard copper washer works :y

Without oil, TheBoy's car would have thrown a rod by the end of his road, guaranteed. :-X
