I'm happy where i am & v. cheap mortgage, nice house, workshop etc, easy going neighbours but i'd give it all up to live somewhere like that. The isolation would'nt bother me one iota. I'm one those who sighs when the phone or doorbell rings. Despite being sociable i embrace solitude. I'm a father & lived the family life for a few years but my heart was never really in it. I love coming home to an empty house, not many people do. Plus that scenery. I appreciate it can be a bit bleak at times but in my mind you're a lucky girl. Maybe not for most but i'd love it. Stock up, batten down the hatches & hibernate.
