At long last I have my cruise working apart from it will not cancel on the stalk, stalk fault??

have you tested it with a meter see if it is the switch?

If not Broke dont fix it..

Aw mate, I thought you were sorted!!
Sounds very like it. If all connections are true, within the steering column housing, then I guess the only way to check will be to either try your stalk in another car (?) or try another known working stalk in yours. I think I still have one knocking around somewhere if you're stuck, though there will probably be some closer to you.

When I checked it earlier I found that the on and increase switchs had no reading till they were pressed but the off switch was live as soon as the probe touched, not sure if this is correct, though.

think its a backwards switch live until pressed then disconets the circuit....

Sure I posted up how stalk behaves a couple of weeks back?

Does pressing the brake cancel cruise? If so, suspect cruise stalk or wiring fault.

yes you did post it and I found it most helpful, brake switch does cancel so you were correct in it was the brake switch at fault, going to swop later with James cdx V6 and see what the outcome is, but very pleased so far. :)
