Have read alot of posts regarding problems with autobox recently and wonder what reduction of fluid,from being level with the drain plug, would cause issues.

Is it merely just a few drops below required level and the problems arise or would these only be found if say a ltr or more is required.

Seen them run perfectly well with 1 litre below the level. Others not.

Always run the engine when checking the final level....in case it needs saying.
If checking top up after a fluid change, re check again preferably after a run to get it all warm having engaged all gears.
