It really isnt difficult....is it?

Torx nut on drivers corner of scuttle, and a ten mill spanner on ps, then unplug. No?

Sounds easy if you have the right tools which I dont. I'm better at fixing people than cars.
well you need to tool up if your keeping your omega lomg term, there will be jobs to do. Oooh yes!

Tools and me dont mix. Mainly due to a lack of time due to my job which means I dont get to concentrate on the maintanence of my cars. At least not the mechanical bits.

But you are right, I will give it a try. Any suggestions for a tool kit that would have all of the above and a few more that I may need in the future?

Halfrauds? Are they good? Price isnt really an issue.
good enough, generally. Several members on here have that set. It has its minor flaws, like no adaptores, catches coming loose, and the spring in the bit to quarter inch adaptor coming free. But it is guaranteed for life, so take it back if any issues.

Halfords tools are reasonable quality and reasonably priced. Quite good for someone who maintains their own car etc. wouldnt be up to constant workshop use but good enough for us hobbyists. :y
Removing powersounder is slightly awkward but takes a maximum of 10 minutes. ;)

Halfords Pro and Halfords Advanced is virtually as good as anything else out there.  At £99, thats an ideal set for Omegas. As chrisgixer says, needs some adapters (about a fiver).  Dont loose the receipt - they usually ask for it when you abuse break something.

Worth noting that ratchets, swivels etc are not covered by the lifetime gaurantee, only the sockets themselves are covered. Still superb value though.Mine has been worth its weight in gold to me.
Only tools needed to remove the power sounder though are the coreect size torx bit and a 10mm socket/spanner/ or even a pair of mole grips or pliers to undo the single nut.

Interesting Albs, as was only yesterday took my baby 1/4 ratchet back to my local Shop as the sockets keep falling off, they swoped the ratchet there and then, didn;t even ask for the receipt either, guessing it depends on the nut behind the till.

 ;)

Had the same with my 3/8 ratchet. Manager at colchester said ratchets and other moving parts only have one year warranty. :-\
