Hmmm, might explane the heavy steering. But as i recall, the wheel position was stationary while turning on a constant arc, although holding the steering wheel against its centering resistance.

I was able to blip the throttle while turning on a constant arc, and got a tocatocatoca tocatocatoca tocatocatoca in time with engine revs. Until the steering straightened up and all was fine.  :-\

I presume the steering box moves in time with steering input? Not rpm?

Was it the WD40, or the sudden input of curry that cured it ::)
