even when its turned off its still there   

so how can i totally eliminate it? dont mind taking bits out etc

Turned off, ie the button is pressed & "TC" light is lit up on the dash, that means its off, it won't cut in or act in any way.

for some reason it still is 

we put a new engine in; and for some reason it wont slide anymore, button pressed and light illuminated as soon as you get it sideways, put your foot down revs and power both die!!

What year of car, and what year engine donor?

Everything plugged in correctly?

Donor engine came from 2.5 elite 2000/2001.74,800 miles.
I believe Lazydocker is hoping to pay a visit in the near when he has time,to have a look over it.
