this was on the news last week because ferrari wanted the badges removed from it, claiming it was "no longer a ferrari" and therefore breaches trademark!!

I did not see it on the news sorry. If it breaches there trademark does that mean no owner can do any modification to there car ?

Interesting bit of engineering to make a proper limo out of a Ferrari, although I can't ever see an application for it given the limitations of the seating.

Have to agree that Ferrari are being ridiculous with the breach of trademark. Be interesing to see how the case pans out though I would guess that Ferrari will not be successful.

Ferrari are very protective of their brand. A few of the folk who build Pontiac Fieros into fake Ferraris have felt the sharp end of Ferrari's legal team.

Still, would you want your name on a crock of sh1t like that?

I struggle to see how Ferrari can win this  :-/

It's not like he has been made to sign a contract saying that he will not mod the car, he bought it, it is his and he can do whatever the hell he wants to do with it!!!!

If this waqs the case Citroen would have a field day dishing out law suits to Paxo owners who have chavved the hell out of their crappy cars

if you take an MR2 or a pontiac and then badge it as a ferrari then yes i can see how they would want to protect themselves, but this was the genuine article to start with

Hmmm........could be a "nice little earner" if you had 150 grand to spare. I can imagine there's plenty of rich kids around that would pay a fortune to hire it out to impress their hooray henry mates. ::)
