My Learned Friends!!! Please Help!!!!
« on: 26 December 2011, 16:38:20 »

So I got my Mum a laptop for Crimbo  :)  But couldn't connect it to our wireless network as I've lost/forgotten the password!!  :-[

No matter thought I, I'll reset the router and then reset the password.......

However, after pressing the little reset button at the back of the router, it's not connecting to the internet.  The wireless network within the house is good however, and all the lights on the router are blue and solid except for the internet light which is orange and flashing.....  :(

Its a Belkin N1 and I've lost the manual.....  :-[

Any advice will be appreciated many thanks!!!  :y

It probably needs reconfiguring for your ISP, so follow the link RobG posted...

However it will need you to remember your isp's login and password  ;D ;D ::)

Doing the full "factory reset" will remove any personal passwords set up... the default password for older belkins was always user/admin  password/admin , but some of the newer ones have the factory default settings on a sticker on the back.

That will allow you access to the router on address 192.168.2.1 from memory for Belkins, then you'l need your ISP's details ... :)
