How long...
« on: 31 December 2011, 12:51:52 »

do some parts take to be worn off? I mean if not neccessary I wouldn't wait them to become unusable rather make some swap in time. E.g. ignition coil pack + cables, fuel pump, some of sensors...so how many kilometres/years do you suggest doing swaps after?   Thx   Laszlo

Varies on the part, if its pattern, original fit, modified, what kind of driving you do, town, motorways, short runs, long runs.

How long is a piece of string?

How long is a piece of string?

Erm...I'm sorry?  :-[

Common English phrase normally interpreted as meaning too many variables to give a precise answer.

But the smartypants answer for the length of string is twice as long as from its middle to its end....   ;D

Its a common phrase when there is no real answer, its like asking how long will my washing machine last? How long before I get a puncture?

Its all down to guess work, how much you drive, how often its used ect.

Questions like that you will often find a response of "how longs a piece of string"   :y

Ahh...  ;D ;D ;D a new lesson ... :y :y :y thx for teaching! I've thought anyway that estimatedly can be known about lifelong of the mentioned parts. As we know the recommended time of oil change, cambelt change etc...unfortunately didn't find any report about that on the net. I guess there should be. All the part have warranty /one-two years/ but it doesn't mean that you can use for that period of time only. What long are they designed for?
