Just to add a few bits

Any "Faulty" sensors will be detected by the SRS ECU, and once repaired / replaced or bypassed (don`t ask!) then the data can be easily cleared and reset by the use of Tech2 or similar.

However, if the data recorded is not "fault" data, and has been deemed as "Crash" data, then Tech2 will not be able to reset it, and the manufacturer advice would be to replace the SRS ECU (after any faults have been fixed).

Like others, we are also currently playing around with resetting this crash data ourselves, as our equipment here is a little more sophisticated than Tech2 - and hope to have an answer to this soon.

Thanks for detailed information about SRS ECU topic. That clarified me the information I gathered around the Internet. But still it would be great to know the simplest solution for this faulty Child Seat Detection sensor and how usually people fix/disable/bypass it.
