I think its some ridicolous figure now that 3 out of 10 drivers are uninsured  :o

Thats why the insurance remains the price it does your always going to be paying for all the unisured in the event they have an accident  :(

It always annoys me when at the end of Police, Camera, Action (or similar) when you've just watched an unlicensed driver get pulled over driving a stolen merc with 3 pounds of coke in the boot, when at the end of the program the narrator says "this man escaped prosecution due to lack of evidence".

WHAT ABOUT ALL THE rather VIDEO EVIDENCE THEN????

Completely agree mate. this copper showed this guy a video of him driving on his own with only a provisional license...... and then said he's lying???  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( Seriously what the f...?????????

& the no win no fee "lawyers". who pay the police & insurance companies for details of the slightest mishap then bombard some poor so & so with letters, texts, emails etc. asking you to hang your gaffer out to dry because you got your jeans dirty or got hiccups at work who push insurance costs up.

This must be as close as you can get to legal fraud. They should be struck off & the whole practice become illegal.

It gets my goat when a constant offender gets his wrists slapped for say no insurance but then you get someone who has made a genuine mistake and they get bent over by the magistrates.

It's very often the smaller offences, that lead to the detection of bigger ones.

For example, it's quite common to detect someone driving with no insurance / otherwise than in accordance with a licence / disqual / drugs on board, etc, simply because they've been tugged for something like not wearing a seatbelt / using a phone.... whereas, had they not been drawing the attention to themselves, they'd never have been stopped!
