Oil and water in intake bag pipes
« on: 20 January 2012, 11:37:41 »

I've cleaned the breathers etc but still there's some oil and water/moisture in the intake bag pipes, esp. in left side one (loking from front). Not much, but I'd expect them to be quite clean? Valve stem seals shot or what? Being a late 2,6 it should have the "better" stem seals? Any other possibilities? Not eating too much oil, nor any other big porblems.

Oil is quite common, from breathers I presume,  not seen water though. Condensation perhaps? It's bloody cold there and the intake sits directly behind the radiator..?

Ok, thanks. I was more concerned about the oil, water might be condensation as you said and, now that I think of it, has not been any water in the summer. And, i've been driving very short journeys, average speed on MID is 30 km/h  :y
