Some favourable reviews there, some dismissive ones - perhaps a few people out there should try these cars out  :)

Don't get me wrong, I think they're great cars and I love 'em. But they are outdated technology now (even the newest are 9 years old ;)) and thirsty. The comment on reliability is not really true though... I don't think they are any less reliable than most cars of that age, as long as properly maintained ;)

At the end of the day, they are (and always have been) a very underrated car and you would struggle to get anywhere near as much car for the money with any other marque :y

True true. Not many cars of the era match it. Except one I had. Here, known as the Ford Scorpio, in UK, Granada. I had one, the Cosworth version, 1993 model. All the same toys as the Omega, same power near enough. Very comfortable and very reliable. 270,000 km without major problems. Loved that car.

There was another Omega SOTW a while back IIRC. Thought the new one got a very fair reception, I read SOTW most weeks and seen some real slanging matches.
Very good posts from chrisgixer   :) :)  and also some positive posts about OOF - quite right too.

Familiar looking 'Big Blue' estate in that thread!  ::) ::)

I agree with Lazydocker, they are outdated tech but question is where to go from here?  I've yet to find anything I like.  I thought maybe Zafira, but having been in other peoples I hate the ride, 4x4s - also dislike the ride, just don't know!  It will have to be a downsize and will be a very sad day when it comes! :(
