Radio/clock display acting up
« on: 31 January 2012, 23:27:53 »

Hi came home from work tonight and noticed the Omega parked in the driveway all locked up but the Display that shows the radio info, fuel consumption/clock etc was lit up.
I went in got the keys, unlocked car then relocked but stayed on.
Got into car turned ignition on to 2nd click then off and locked car, display flickered but did not go out.
Got out locked car but display stayed on!!!!
Got into car and started it, then turned it off and display went out, locked car and display stayed out.........

We're does the display get it power feed from ? Radio, fuse box ???

Thanks

W contact = when you turn off and take key out make sure that the lock pops out (think thats the simplest way to explain it)  :-\
thats if i have it right but someone will either confirm or shoot me down soon  :y

Correct. Its an old fashioned name/system that modern cars implement in a different way.  Its designed to get some accessories (wireless, ciggy lighter etc) live after you have stopped, a little like ign position I (but not quite)

If you have a CID, having sidelights on does light up display as well.
