The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.

today there was an interesting program about Coco chanel at NTV.. while watching her life,
many scenes from world war 1 and 2 shown..  and also she got high sums of money by selling parfumes to Nazis
and she became the darling of a Nazi.. but nothing happened to her after the war .. not arrested nothing..
and after she left her country and lived in switzerland long years after the war without working..

I just thought,

"poors go to war,  fight and die, rich become more rich" >:(

US is useless at foreign policy, most of the politicians, could not tell you on which continent a country is situated, let along come up with any pragmatic solutions to a countries / regions problems. Look at the blunders, presidential candidates have made when asked to comment on something like Libya.  :o :o :o :o :o

This is a great pity and a massive short coming for the world's policemen who can project awesome military power anywhere in the world.

You only have to watch the US news to see how insular they are as their news is on the following lines:

Opening headline: The Chicago Bulls made the league playoff last night, we'll go over to our sport correspondent for a complete analysis of the game, with all of the relevant stats. Five minutes later.

Next Story: The Teamsters Union dispute with Amtrack has still not been resolved with the union threatening strike action. Lets go over to our Industrial correspondent to see how this might affect you. Five minutes later.

Next Story: A survey of the most desirable US cities to live in has seen New York move up, due to its lower crime rate and civic improvements in many areas. Our New York correspondent will now give you a hands on view on what it is really like to live in New York. Five minutes later.

Next Story: And now for our nightly news story from abroad. Thermal nuclear war has broken out between Israel and Iran, with reports of up to 40% of Israel destroyed and most of Iran's major population centres.

Next Story: The Dow Jones has gained 53 points today, the big winners have been the construction and defense companies on the expectation of big new contracts from Israel. Oil has gone up $15 a barrel, so lets go over to our market analysis expert and look how the rise in gas might affect you. Five minutes later.

End of news.  ::) ::)

Maybe oil pipeline would be a more accurate description ?

I can still remember the moronic defence secratary John Reid dispatching forces to Helmund on a "peace keeping mission"  and stating that he expected they could achieve their goals without firing a single shot. :(
