Plug/Lead not firing
« on: 06 March 2012, 16:08:00 »

Without the need to remove each plug and replace all 6,given what a PITA it is ,is there a simpler way of identify which plug/lead is not firing as I have again got an intermittent miss fire and want to get to the bottom of it finally.

History:

Diss pack replaced with new bosch around 25k ago   All 6 plugs replaced with 2 prong GM around 15k ago   Plug leads are Magnacor 8mm fitted new around 40k ago.   Had similar issue couple of weeks go and traced back to slight condensation inside #4/6 rubber boot.Have checked them this morning and both are now bone dry /free from oil/dirt or any other nasties.

just get a plug and fit it to each plug lead one by one to find out which is not sparking      you could also spray leads and coil pack with ignition sealer see if that helps that will eliminate damp problems
