Ralf, you seeing how many times you can fit ''pads'' in to a sentence there?  ;D ;D ;D Just kiddin' Sheila ;)

Thanks for that - I'll whip them off if I scrap it  :y

One quick Q about the ''visual check''. Would the guy @ ATS simply looked at the pads and worked out roughly how many mm was left compared to how many mils new pads are. For exampl he said the back pads were ''half full'' so if brake pads thickness at new is 1cm (that's a guess) he would have just looked and seen that there was about 5mm left???
Also how is it possible to say ''yep, them discs are ok''???

bearing in mind no wheels came off.

This is just purely out of interest.

Cheers girls  :-* :y

Prob by looking at the outer wear edge seeing if its worn/grooved ...wheel needs taking off really to check both sides of disc for wear

Best really with the caliper off to see the back of the disc........ the back plate is in the way otherwise.  ;)
