I have an issue

To get into my car I have to put the key in the door. This goes from when I had to get a new ignition barrel, It all needs recoding in but i think its tech1 and nobody seems to want to touch it. Anyway!

I put the key in the drivers door to open it and I heard something drop and the lock wouldn't move. So I opened it on the passenger side and took the door card off on the drivers side. this is what had fallen off.

and this is the inside of the door.

Now I took the passenger side doorcard off to have a look at how it should be but the round disc and spring just dont seem to want to stay on.

I have little patience for this type of thing.

May be wrong but it looks like there should be some sort of circlip where I`ve marked $:-\$

Would it be the spring pictured? that fits inside the other part that came off.
