12 years of owning Omegas and never had a 6 cylinder one.....never saw the point particularly...... ::) ::)

I put my foot down and it just kept going and going, no silly speeds just the way it accelerated seemed to get a bit of extra boost as the revs got higher... :y

Got home and went to put it in park and then I noticed, as I said to Miss Vamps, 'oh I forgot about that!'......the Sport button..... :D :D :D

The average MPG before I reset was 26.7 over about 2500 miles, the Megan was 24.6 over?????  No Contest... :y :y :y

Very handy that button when you need that extra umph when overtaking  ;)

I don't see much difference with or without it apart from engine braking TBH ::) But then, I drive mine pretty hard most of the time :-X ;)

Really? Christ, mine's a noticeable difference. throttle response is awesome ;)

IIRC the only thing it has an effect on is the Autobox ECU, which is adaptive and learns your driving style ;)

Plus, when you have your foot planted it makes no difference what mode it's in :-X ::)

oh ok fair enough.....omega placebo button then  ;D

Not at all... With the sport button pressed there is less slip in the box (because it holds gears when off the throttle) so the throttle response seems crisper ;) ;)

If you generally drive it hard then the change points will be similar in either mode ;) ;D

2nd gear selected, sport mode on .....  excellent fun through some serious twisties ....you would not believe how well a big barge can handle........ just do NOT look at the instant fuel consumption..... you'll burst into tears !!!!  :)

Will have to try that  :P

Instant fuel consumption is never on in mine , last time i looked it was on 8  :o mind wasn't much room left between the carpet and throttle  ;D

And now of course we can drive with the window down alot more as it's getting warmer! The lovely sound of the v6 bounces off stationary objects and sounds bloody awesome as it massages your eardrums! I've got a completely standard exhaust with a factory fit Irmscher double d tail pipe (Elite only), which is nice and quiet but gives a lovely v6 sound, especially on a brisk-ish run upto 40 ish in two gears. It sounds so bloody brilliant, the gears go on forever. Roll on the summer!  :y

Can anyone think of a descriptive word or phrase for the lovely v6 sound?
