Hello
I had the common problem of itermittent abs/traction light on Omega 3.0 litre ellite. Took it to what had turned out to be a dodgey place SINSPEED who claim to be specialist in ABS area.
After their firs attempt at refurb of the ABS ECU the abs and traction light went out and abs and traction controll worked but speedo was stuck on zero.

Since then they tell me they have tested the ABS ECU/pump and ther eis no fault found on it. Ater lousy experience I have no faith in them and I'm not sure they actually did anything at all.
after a lot of cock and bull I have given up with them. The speedo is still at zero and the traction light is back on. The abs works OK.
Any advice where the fault might be?

More importantly, is there esomeone in Basingstoke, Hampshire area with Tech 2 who can run a test to see what the issue is?
And is tech 2 able to pin point problems in this area.

How can I get in touch with Kevin Wood - Alton, Hampshire (On the The boys Pages http://theboy.omegaowners.com/tech2/prices.shtml) as he offers this service?

The engine on the omega is running so fine I don't want to dispose of it for just this fault.

thanks

Drop Kevin a pm and I'm sure something will be sorted out, if he doesn't see the post first!
The problem still sounds ECU related. If it was just the speedo playing up then maybe something else, but someone with a better knowledge will be along soon  :y

You can drop him a PM, or alternatively tip up at the Hants meet which is happening in just under a month from now.

thanks for the replies.

The speedo does drop.

One other observation: when on II the traction light goes out but comes back when the engine is started.

Excuse my ignorance but what is PM?
