Hi everyone,
I followed the guide for this but despite having removed the c-shaped plastic clip I can't seem to release the return pipe, damn thing won't come off, and I don't want to break the black quick release clip bit.

when tryed on mine few weeks back would not com off so just pulled the clips back abit and pulled the pump out went back in ok and fixed in place.

Hi everyone,
I followed the guide for this but despite having removed the c-shaped plastic clip I can't seem to release the return pipe, damn thing won't come off, and I don't want to break the black quick release clip bit.

That's because you need to press the said clip forwards to release the transfer pipe elbow from the T-piece.
Don't remove it!

If you look closely at the 'horse shoe' clip, it has serrations along the edge of it for your thumb to grip.
You may well find that it's quite difficult to refit this clip with the assembly in situ within the tank. If you fail to refit it, you'll need to remove the complete swirl pot assembly from the tank base, and refit it thence. There are four clips involved, and ideally the tank needs to be totally emptied of fuel to locate them.
Towards the end of the Maintenance Guide there's a diagram/picture that shows these.
