Electric window - up,down,up,down
« on: 22 March 2012, 22:40:58 »

As per title really. The back right electric window winder has a mind of it's own, whether operated by the switch in the front or back. Quick presses of the switch operate it normally. If you keep the finger on the button a while longer so it should close all the way (whether you continue to keep the finger on or not) the window starts to go back down of it's own accord. So the only way of closing it is in shorts bursts.
Any ideas?
TIA

The electronic gubbins that control the window motor thinks there is a hand/finger/arm/etc stuck in the path of the window. Try lub'ing the window guides as best you can.  :y

Cool. Thanks for the prompt responses. Not sure I'm gonna go out to do it right now though  :)

Silicon spray works too, but leaves marks on the windows. Ptfe would be better, but I've never managed to find it readily available personally.
