still cannot get this bolt of the brake disc caliper cradel,got the drivers side of in the end,but the passenger side is not moving,the bolt head is not that round yet if i grind it off how do i get it out from thier,would stud extractor thing work dont think i will get a drill bit down the centre,some one come and do it for me and i promisss never to touch the car again.

Post a pic. Let's have a look at the bugger. Turn the steering out if that helps?

Have you got a 18mm socket? I did my discs the other day for some reason I did 3 of the 4 bolts using a 19mm socket but one was 18mm. I thinking that if you give them a right going over with a wire brush they are actually 18mm

used a wheel brace on mine to get them off, one with adjustable handle gets in at the right angle and can put full weight on it. 18mm.

Make sure you are trying to undo it and not do it up...remember that you are dealing with a bolt that is in effect the wrong way round..if that makes sense.

Double check the ratchet is set to undo then try again...and yes they are 18mm.

Well you can take it the wrong way but the costs rise considerably

nothing a oxy acetaleyne torch cant cure, plenty of heat then give it a beat

I had the same problem,loads of penetraiting oil a new 18mm 1/2 hex socket and a long extension finally got it off.

thanks for the help took it to slow fit offerd him £20 (things people do for money)got the tourch on it and air gun came out stright away but he did manage to burn sensor wire for the brakes,ordering new bolts and wire now.

no saved my bacon.new one ordered and new bolts for caliper carrier the new pads i ordered came with the little bolts that hold the caliper to carrier,stuff should be in wednesday.
