Hi guys.

Looking into fitting factory xenon lights soon and am trying to come up with a parts list for what is required. Obviously the lights and ballasts with some loom, then the suspension sensors and possibly some wiring loom for that too. I already have the headlight washers fitted (MV6 bumper) is that all that is needed? Will the car already have the loom connections for the suspension in place anyway? It's an 02 CD model.

I'd disagree, xenons and a sunroof are a few of the things I miss the most when not driving 'proper' cars.

Having had Vectra's and Omega's both with and without xenon lights I can say that xenon lights offer a vast improvement over halogen type bulbs. The only disadvantage comes when they need renewing, they can cost upto £160 each for a new pair of bulbs.
Advantages are they are safer, they should last around 10 years with average use and they can be converted to continental use within minutes...

+1    Projectors with decent bulbs are ok but HID lights are much better imo, and the best mod I have done to my car.

Couldn't agree more. I've retro fitted a couple of sets now and the difference is very noticable

Same here just finished a new front wing level sensor install
While waiting for the parts I was travelling with the "Headlight Range" fault display
At 1st this did not appear to be a problem especially driving rural and even on main A roads
Did 2 of my regular weekly journey's to the East Coast on which we use about 20mls of twisty B road
Known as the scenic route
Return journey is always late and road is clear
Can comment that on this road I normally use Miggy's abilities to advantage
However not haveing the Zenon HIDs at full efficiancy must have made a substantial differance
Driving back last week with the Headlight system restored and no fault display
Was a noticeably  much quicker easier relaxing drive
I just can't see other normal intensity Zenons measureing up

If fitted correctly. Definately not if fitted poorly. Very rare to see them retrofitted correctly.

Drove 2.2 without for 7 years, expecting to be blown away by Xenons when I started using the Elite in anger, they are better, but improvement is marginal. They light more of the immediate stuff right in front of the bonnet, sideways too, but the throw is about the same, I don't want the hedge lit up, I want to see the road!

Maybe the lights on your Elite are too low? Or perhaps the lenses are a little cloudy?

Its a better spectrum thats thrown out, thats where the benefit is.  HID bulbs degrade over time.

My MV6 ones are, and it shows. TBE noticibly better, and they are 9yrs old...
