CUT OUT
« on: 09 April 2012, 13:40:22 »

HI Everyone
I am having a problem with my 3.2 V6, Evertime I go round a corner and put my foot down on the gas the engine dies
as soon as it is straight the power comes back on, the emmisions light has been on for a while, but I think it is a dirty sensor
it happened before and I took it to my local vauxhall dealer and they tried to part me with £800 for new cat's. but when i took it to my local garage they fixed it by cleaning the sensor.
The MOT is up at the end of the month and i am going to have a service at the same time, but anybody knows what is wrong
before i take her in, much appr'd
I have my own theory she wants to go back to germany on the autobahn very few curves last time i was there!!!!

Let's go back to basics here... Look in the maintenance section for the Pedal Trick and read the codes, then post them back here :y

0420
"Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1) ". Nothing to worry about in the context of the problem you currently have. All 3.2s eventually start throwing that code.

Don't recognise that one. Can you double check?

Might be worth checking for loose wiring, especially around the lambda sensors if they have been disturbed recently. Thinking they may be shorting against the exhaust on corners?

But it would be good to get the codes confirmed.
