Well i got a call from the insurance company today and they`ve wrote the veccy off.... so i discussed it with the wife and accepted the valuation of £2935 less my excess which i hope will be recovered and 2 months insurance premium... So now i feel like i`m dirty and shamed of this... I`ve now gotta find another decent and reliable motor once the cheque comes and clears... I`m really pissed off and fed up today i`ve not claimed for any personal injury because none of us where injured but i feel like the dogs owners should be brought to account over this accident after allowing their dogs to roam free off their farm!! I mean fer christ sake i`ve had family members calling everything under the sun for not claiming for whiplash or sumat... I`ve had 2 members of my wifes family telling me i should of just run the dog over and carried on!! (but hey they dont even hold a driving licence) so what now eh?? Put it behind me and forget it?? or go round to the farm house and punch the prat of a dog owner for allowing his dogs to raom free and cause an accident....

I think I would agree with that....
However, as you have accepted a payout for the car, that may not help. Plus the fact the owner will probably deny it was his dog.
Notwithstanding the aforementioned ......I do hope you can nail the b*****d

get a bit of free legal advice, particularly if you pay for legal cover, use it, then claim from the dog owner.  remember it is their fault.

there is one thing - exaggerating claims, but another thing is paying for someone elses mistakes.  you just have to be very pushy
