Ultrasonic carb cleaning on the south coast???
« on: 15 May 2012, 21:54:31 »

Anybody know of any firms who do this in around Southampton? Got two carbs of the VW which have the entire white cliffs of dover in them. Carb cleaner won't touch it  :( :(

Dave;
Have a word with Mike W on ABS, I'm sure he sent off his LC injectors for cleaning to a company down south

Not exactly down south but I've used these people to clean injectors before.

However, not sure they'd necessarily have a bath big enough for a carb.

Injectors were back just after I'd fitted the spare set to the car!

Doz, I have access to an ultrasonic bath, but bad news iis it will only take items up to about 100mm in all directions. maybe 110mm at a push. Welcome to try it if they fit.

I have had good results on aluminium. reasonable results on steel, and poor results on brass.

Just to add, the bath is located just off Burgess Road, Highfield, Southampton, so17 1bj.
