Ordered Sunday and arrived today so in that regard, spot on but build quality has left me a bit, well meh  :-\  Welds look poor, scorch marks all over the place and the joint where the two "clamshell" meet looks badly made.

I know they only cost £26 each so maybe my expectations were a little high, especially considering how well regarded they are but my current timax/bosal looks better made IMO. I did take some pictures on my phone but the pictures dont show what I mean well enough.

Must be dissappointing as everybody else seems to sing their praises.  :-\

I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow or the weekend when I am able to take a picture without the flash

Chris, what was the build quality of yours like?

By its nature, there will be heat marks around where the pipes join boxes, and where the 2 halves of clam join.

I'll try to take pics of mine that I've yet to fit.

The ones on the MV6 still look in good condition, despite being fitted for 2.5yrs I think, though exhausts rot from inside out.

Design not dissimilar to oe. But bare in minde the price. For the money, these still outlast the current Timax style exhaust vx are fobbing people off with.

I was happy with mine. Unless there's faults on yours, maybe we've hyped it up too much. They're not a work of art, but better than the current £311 vx system offered on tc. IME.

And better than most of the exhausts out there, IMHO.  Probably, IMHO, up there with the best of the steel ones available on the Omega. And without the drone associated with many of the others.

Maybe there's a manufacture problem.

It probably is me being too fussy then. As Chris says they are not works of art but as long as it doesn't leak and is quiet then one mustn't complain.

yep they do have heat marks on them where welded.

have faith, when fitted they are pretty good - still having minor issues getting mine to seal on the driver side cat pipe but then I'm scared to pull the bolts too hard in case I break em

Did you clean up the taper?  If not, ;). If you did, try a little exhaust paste there (actually on the taper, so you need to dismantle again)

yep - did give the taper a good clean so i suspect another daub of exhaust paste may be needed - its not bad, just annoying and I know what these things are like - destined to get worse
