Tyres Load indexes
« on: 06 June 2012, 19:36:22 »

My 2.6 auto elite estate is fitted with 235/45r17 97W tyres. This matches the option in the owners manual with the exception of the load index which isn't mentioned. These tyres are also marked 'Extra Load'  does anyone know whether this load index is right. I kind of think the ride is 'a bit firm', the tyres are at the right pressures.

Thanks

going for tyres with a higher load index than the book "minumum" won't result in a harder ride. The hardness comes from the 35% profile.
