« on: 22 June 2012, 12:22:14 »

Hi guys, can anyone advise on the remote keys ie. can they be reconditioned as mine is not going to last much longer :'(,well a least on the unlocking side. button for locking doors and boot perfect 1 touch, but unlocking button looks likes its collapsed have 2 squeeze down hard just to make led light once and getting embarassing when someone waiting to get in. Strange always seems worse when chucking it down ;D. have spare but all the buttons knackered :'( any advise would be great, hope I dont have to resort to stealers :o

Easy ... yup .. take carpass, & large wallet, to Vx dealers. Order one and apply vaseline .... :(

OR

Buy blank key from bay of e and have it cut to match by Timpsons or the like, buy a blank Fob and chip and pay TB or others to tech2 it to your car .. you'll need the carpass for that as well ..

Damn, I've just yesterday ordered this...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170857312022?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_from%3DR40%26_nkw%3D170857312022%26_rdc%3D1#ht_2126wt_1329
...but the cases used by 'Martin Imber' look to be better quality (at least they have the window for the l.e.d.), judging by the pictures in the link provided.

£26 at evans halshaw in Leeds - they seem to be all over the country, and one would hope would charge same price everywhere - you need to take V5 and proof of ID
