Bargain
« on: 11 April 2008, 12:02:03 »

Went to halfords to see how much their sparkplugs were, where I was told that they dont sell them in 6's  :'( but he would do me a deal on 8. Then when I needed to change them again he would do me a deal on another 4. I walked out happier than a really happy thing, because he only charged me £23 for 8 bosch super 4's which should of been £20 for 4!!  :y ;D ;D :)

I would get a trade card and go to a Vx dealer next time. They sell them individually, theirs are basically Bosch super 4's anyway and they're pretty cheap IIRC. Fancy not selling them in 6's!  ::)

Obviously nobody with a proper engine goes to Halfrauds any more. ::)

 ;)

I dont rate the 4 electrode plugs, they only offer one single advantage and that is a theoretical extended life but, they may also shield the flame front more in the process which is less ideal.

Halfords used to sell individual plugs, I've bought them when I've been in the same situation. I resented aying for 8 when i knew I'd have lost the remaining 2 when I next needed them!  ;)

I only ever buy 6, because I use a proper shop.  So still can't think of an advantage to owning a 4 pot  :-/

Actually, just thought of one - due to power output, you can get away with plastic tyres, like Tunnies, that last 5 billion years.
