A good game for the spectators, first half to England second and extra time to Italy, best team won :y

Agreed, Italy by far best. Passes completed around 700+ on the stats, England, 300! 39% Possession last stat I saw, we did not keep ball, no magic up front (thanks to that useless fat little moron Rooney)

Very impressed with Hart since start of the games, he did well.

I am not a great follower of football, but whenever I watch the World Cup or big games I find England never play as a team. Its asthough these big stars can win the game on their own. As for this Rooney, I have heard him called a world class player dozens of times and yet what I have seen is toss.

wooney was wubbish.Second big tournament where he has let us down with his lack of fitness and crap attitude.
We got run ragged in midfield and deserved what we got.Just as well i suppose as the Germans would have been even more embarrasing i think.
We are not 5/6/7 in the World as the 'pundits' recon,i dont think we should make the top ten.Think we need to ditch the old guard like gerard lumplard terry rooney and try bringing on the youngsters but i dont see a really good play maker anywhere !

Gerard was excellent but they had him covered at all times so he didn't really get a chance. Pirlo was unreal tho, esp the penalty!!!! Best team won on the day would've been very unfair if italy had lost

Pirlo was by far the best player on the pitch, pure class. The British media hype Rooney up but he really isn't in the same league as Pirlo judging by this game. And yes, the penalty - he showed real nerve in front of a properly world class goalie, one of the highlights of the Euros so far  :y
