corsa sxi 1.2help please
« on: 01 July 2012, 18:22:34 »

my mrs corsa b 1.2 sxi engine is leaking oil from the top of the engine so after a look round i have decided its the rocker cover gasket.
now it looks a "simple job" to do but as i havnt a manual any tips would help.now the cover is held on with some strange bolts[tork? about 10mil] so of to buy some  sockets tomorrow
does anyone know if they have to be loosened off in a special way? or if there is a torque setting for these?
thanks

Make sure the oil isn't coming from the oil pressure switch, located up near the thermostat and timing chain cover.

Nah, it's good advice as the bolts only go into aluminium and it's easy to strip the threads. I'd guess 8-10 n.m.'s at most.
